Major types of meditation

Majorly speaking you should be aware of two types of meditation. We will try to uncover these meditations:

Concentrative meditation

This type of meditation might be difficult for you as in this you have to focus on a specific thing. You should also try to tune out everything else that might be going around you. The only goal that you are trying to accomplish in this meditation is to energize your focus. This can be done by concentrating on any mantra, specific word, or breath.

Mindful meditation

The target of this type of meditation is to resolve issues that you might be facing which might include depression. This meditation is a state of being aware and involving yourself in the present moment. You should try to make yourself more open, accepting, and aware.

How to practice meditation efficiently?

Following are some of the prominent methods that are also recommended by a dietician in order to improve your nutrition intake. The following steps will guide you toward achieving the state of most efficient meditation:

  1. Pick a spot that is free of any distractions. Try to turn off all of the devices around you. Even if you want some type of instrument then you can play calm and repetitive music.

  2. Do not go through meditation for a prolonged period. Only try to do meditation for a period of 5 to 10 minutes. This will keep you consistent in meditation.

  3. Try to pay attention to the movements of your body and then get comfortable. Get comfortable in any position you want. Your major focus should be to keep your back straight.

  4. The task consisting of 90% of meditation is to focus on your breath. Pay attention to the feeling of each breath.

  5.  You cannot stop your thoughts even during meditation. The only thing that you should try to do is to bring your attention back.
